Privacy Policy
Glance Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 8, 2026
Glance is built to keep Chinese learning simple and local-first.
Summary
The Glance iOS app does not require an account in v1. It does not include third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking SDKs. In plain terms: no third-party tracking. Learner progress is stored locally on your device.
Information The App Stores Locally
Glance may store review progress, known/learning/forgotten/due card state, Today's Cues history, script preference, widget style preference, and import/export files you choose to create or import. This information is used to provide the app's learning, review, and widget features.
Widgets
Glance widgets read compact cue snapshots through the app group used by the app and widget extension. This lets widgets show a cue and open the matching card in the app.
Purchases
Glance Pro purchases and restore purchases are handled by Apple StoreKit. Apple may process payment and subscription information according to Apple's own policies.
Data Collection
The Glance iOS app does not collect learner progress on a Glance server in v1 and does not sell personal information.
If a separate beta signup or support form is used outside the app, that form may collect the information you choose to submit, such as your email address and message. That external form is separate from local learner progress in the app.

Changes
This policy may be updated if Glance adds optional sync, support forms, diagnostics, analytics, or other features that change data handling. Material changes should be reflected before App Store submission or app update release.
